Don Harries
International Advisor of England
Grand Master Don Harries began his
martial arts training at the age of
6. He is the founder and Chairman of
the United International Federation
of Martial Arts (UIMAF) based in the
UK, which was formed to bring
together all different styles of
martial arts under one banner. He is
a former chief examiner for the
World Federation of Martial Arts. He
is the founder of The Northern
Shaolin Kung Fu Academy in the UK
and the Wu Chun Tang
Self-Defense/Combat System. He used
the names of 3 main instructors who
have helped him throughout his life
and he thought it would be nice to
honor them by naming his style after
them (Master Kim Woo, Master Soo Lin
Tang & Grand Master Leung Chun). He
has trained staff for security
companies, personal security and
bodyguards. He was inducted into the
Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame
as Grand Master of the Year – Wu
Chun Tang in 2003. He was also the
2003 United States Martial Arts Hall
of Fame Kung Fu Grand Master of the
Year.
