Kenny Lee Vazquez, Shihan, was born in Manhattan, New York City. He currently resides in Hartford, Connecticut. He is currently employed by the City of Hartford Police Department.

Master V. began studing martial arts in 1970. He holds the rank of 6th degree Black Belt in Kakuto Shin Ryu and Hapkido, 3rd degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and a 2nd degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do ITF. He is the founder of the Budo Bu-Jitsu Karate Association. He is on the Board of Directors of the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame, a State Director for the International Police tactics Instructors Association in Connecticut and Vice President of the way of the Dragon Association.

In 1982 he enlisted in the United States Army Infantry Division and received an Honorable Discharge in 1988. Besides competing around the USA, Puerto Rico and Canada he has also attended seminars with such well known instructors as Dr. Moses Powers, Profesor Silverio P. Guerra Ph.D, M.A., Master Adam "Bar-None" Guerra, Benny "The Jet" Uriquez, master John Pellegrini, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, dan "The Beast" Seven, Michael Depasquale, Boxer Champion Hector "Macho"Camacho just to name a few.
