Our Mission

The Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame is an organization dedicated to the growth of the martial arts. UMAHoF was established in 1997 to give recognition to individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the martial arts and to increase public awareness in the positive role martial arts play in the lives of countless participants worldwide.

• We encourage and support the principles of respect, honor and integrity.
• The UMAHoF will only recognize martial artists upon undisputed evidence of their accomplishments and dedication of the arts.
• We support teachers and students in pursuit of knowledge and encourage fellowship within the martial arts community.
• We encourage martial artists to become leaders in their communities.
• On occasion the UMAHoF will issue rank, register and license qualified instructors and students to further acknowledge their achievements.
• The UMAHoF Supreme Sokeship Council may recognize the development of new styles, methods and systems upon agreement of their value to the martial arts.
